The Brazilian Association of Telecommunications – ABTELECOM, promoted a lunch to honor the Director of ANATEL, Mrs. Emília Ribeiro, for her work on the regulation for MVNO – Mobile Virtual Network Operator. The meeting gathered the Board of Porto Seguro, 1st company in Brazil to be registered as an authorized MVNO, Secretary of Science and Technology of Rio de Janeiro Dr. Franklin Dias Coelho, President of SET Director of Rede Globo de Televisão Mrs. Liliana Nakonechnyj, Ex-Minister of Communications Commandant Euclides Quandt de Oliveira, President of Star One Dr. Gustavo Silbert. At the meeting was announced by the President of ABTELECOM, Eng. Roberto Aroso, the creation of the Regional Office in the South of Brazil, with Head Office in Porto Alegre and jurisdiction in Paraná and Santa Catarina too, as well as the nomination of its Board of Directors. The Director and host of the Event, Dr. Cesar Augusto Maia, in his speech, thanked the businessmen and the present press and highlighted the importance of the works that are being done in the agency, ANATEL, showing transparency in its management, besides the wish to exchange experiences with the representatives organisms on behalf of the quality of service to users/clients.
